PLEASANT GROVE, Utah, Jan. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Patty White, a board member for the organization, recently reached out to doTERRA to see if the company would be interested in providing a donation for the gala's silent auction or raffle. doTERRA accepted the invitation to donate and offered a Family Physician Kit to be used in the silent auction. The organization shows such admirable commitment to their community, which made the choice to donate an easy one for doTERRA.

The Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers organization is a non-profit group that consists of over 220 volunteers in Loudon County who volunteer to serve ailing, elderly, or disabled individuals. For most seniors and adults with disabilities, it isn't easy to live independently and maintain a normal lifestyle. Among the elderly, diseases and conditions like arthritis, heart disease, cancer, and respiratory diseases like asthma are extremely common and affect quality of life. These conditions make it nearly impossible to perform simple daily tasks, forcing many elderly or ill individuals to lose their independence.

The aim of The Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers is to provide services that allow people to get the proper care they need without losing their independence. Services like transportation to medical appointments, help with errands, grocery shopping, and chores around the house allow the elderly or ill to maintain a somewhat normal lifestyle. These kinds of services are particularly helpful for those who suffer from severe arthritis or asthma, since these conditions make it difficult to get around. The organization also has volunteers who provide companionship to individuals who may be isolated because of their condition.

At the gala, volunteers looked back on 20 years of devoted service to the people of Loudoun County, while also looking forward to the years ahead. According to board member Patty White, "Our organization serves those who have nowhere else to turn and are in dire need of care." doTERRA appreciates the opportunity to donate to a cause that provides a necessary and life-saving service to people who truly need it.

doTERRA Cares is an initiative through which doTERRA International recognizes and raises awareness for Wellness Advocates who contribute to worthy causes worldwide. doTERRA International is thrilled to share Patty's success and service and recognizes her as this week's doTERRA Cares highlight!
