CHICAGO, Jan. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- When Celeste Jones consults Fortune 500 Company leaders, she hears about the same problem frequently; young people entering the business world lack vital life skills. "Most traditional schools are letting our kids down. They're not helping students develop emotional intelligence (EQ) or grit that they need to succeed in leadership positions."

Jones developed a way for parents to help their children develop these vital life and business skills. She is launching the JuniorCEOs™ program at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. It's an intensive leadership workshop series for kids ages five to twelve. "Parents cannot wait until their kids are in high school to start preparing for college. With the intense competition to get into top universities, preparation must begin in elementary school," said Jones.

Students will experience high impact workshops, engaging projects, and an interactive online curriculum. Mentors from Fortune 500 Companies will help young people develop strategic and critical thinking skills. "Through this program, kids will learn skills and earn credentials that will help them apply for both jobs and academic opportunities," said Jones.
