SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 22, 2014) - CPC Strategy (www.cpcstrategy.com) has awarded its first Digital Marketing Scholarship and will formally present the award to the winner during the company's 7 year anniversary celebration at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, January 28th, 2014 at the company's headquarters in San Diego.

"We're proud to announce that this year's scholarship winner is Johanna Hoang, a third year student at the University of California, San Diego," said scholarship evaluator Jon Gregoire. "Johanna's highly insightful and detailed essay on the maturity of omni-channel commerce and technology was a key factor in our decision to award her the scholarship."

Johanna is currently working towards a Management Science Major as well as a Business Minor while maintaining a strong background in marketing.

CPC Strategy established the scholarship in 2013 as an effort to reward talented, driven students for their interest and expertise on the rapidly growing online retail industry. Applicants were asked to submit a 1,000 word essay or 5 minute video about what the future holds for eCommerce.

"We're always looking for ways to enrich the local San Diego startup and internet marketing communities," explains CPC Strategy COO and co-founder Nii A. Ahene. He continues, "Given the fact that vast majority of our team went to universities in the San Diego area, it made sense to commemorate our seventh anniversary with a scholarship."

After the great success of the first run, the company plans to make this scholarship an annual fixture for students interested in digital marketing.
