SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 5, 2015) - The Burtek Group, a preeminent engineering and manufacturing firm based in Michigan, announced today that the company completed the move of all operations from the recently acquired Process Fab, Inc. (PFI) to its existing Santa Fe Springs location this week. In the past year, the company acquired two of the region's significant manufacturing companies -- PFI and Votaw Precision Technologies.

The company anticipates continued stability and growth of its business in Santa Fe Springs, California, while offering their customers additional capabilities and capacity of the new group.

"By acquiring two well known, complex precision-fabrication entities, staffed by world-class engineers, machinists and other trade professionals, The Burtek Group aims to develop the country's next generation of craftsmen and industry leaders," said Jeff Daniel, chief executive officer for Burtek.

According to Daniel, Santa Fe Springs remains an attractive region for the firm's long-term outlook, referencing the area's proximity to key industries it services: space flight/aerospace and defense. As a turn-key business partner with industry-leading capabilities, Burtek focuses on mission- and safety-critical prototype to low-rate production products.

The firm's CEO also acknowledged the skill set and experience possessed by professionals that are coming together as a result of the recent acquisitions. He stated that teams from Michigan and California would exchange best practices to drive operational excellence with the goal to be the employer of choice in their markets and communities.

"It's a goal of Burtek's to create a critical mass of talent in the region, providing the necessary education and support to the extremely talented and hardworking members of the local team in Santa Fe Springs," Daniel added. "We'd like to see as many second- and third-generation employees as possible here."

With the completed move in April of 2015, The Burtek Group will have successfully completed the acquisition and integration of capabilities within a 90-day timeframe.
