ISTANBUL, Jan 1 (Reuters) - Commercial shipping was closed in both directions on Turkey's Dardanelles Strait on Monday due to heavy fog, state broadcaster TRT reported, citing authorities.
The vessel traffic agency halted shipping at 2 a.m. (2300 GMT Sunday), it said. The strait connects the Marmara and Aegean seas and is the route for Black Sea commodities exports to world markets.
