Tracking First, a Utah-based advertising technology startup that automates the creation and classification of marketing campaign tracking codes, announced today the promotion of John Boyd to chief operating officer. Concurrently, it announced the hire of Craig Monson to replace Boyd as vice president of sales. Monson returns to the worlds of Ad Tech and Analytics, having served as a long-time leader in enterprise sales at Adobe Omniture.

“We’re at a point where we need to scale our growth, and it’s great to have experienced minds on the team,” explained Craig Scribner, CEO of Tracking First. Monson will be tasked with staffing and managing Tracking First’s growing sales efforts. Monson states, “There is an entrepreneurial spirit that draws me to a company like Tracking First. It’s a maverick get-up-and-do-it mindset that really suits me. The fact that it’s a role in analytics and big data is comfortable -- I’ve worked in other industries, but I like this sector, it’s one I know,”

“Tracking First’s technology is a huge boost to teams of marketers and analysts working jointly on campaigns,” adds Boyd. “We have a great roster of Fortune 500 clients, and we’re looking for growth this year.”

Tracking First currently serves more than a dozen Fortune 500 global brands.

About Tracking First

Tracking First is a SaaS tool which prepares tracking-ready campaign links that are fully vetted before launch. Its technology supports clients who must routinely create and classify unique tracking codes, embed them within landing page links and test that the codes are being captured by reporting systems. Its patent-pending algorithms recognize consistencies and correlations in a company’s historical codes, automatically generating new codes that match the company’s own established reporting standards.
