R3 Continuum (R3) announced today the founding of the R3 Continuum Research Institute, whose mission is to advance the state of the art in workplace productivity.

R3 provides a spectrum of services organized around the idea that people have a right to lead productive, meaningful lives, and that work is a health behavior. These services range from disruptive event management to crisis preparedness, planning, and response, to claims evaluation and return to work planning.

The R3 Continuum Research Institute was founded in order to help R3 provide evidence that these services are effective, and to answer questions posed by the marketplace such as employee reactions to disruptive events, the potential to predict and avoid workplace violence, attitudes towards disability in the workplace, and the effectiveness of behavioral interventions.

“Many return to work initiatives, particularly in behavioral health, have been created based on professional judgment of what should work,” notes Dr. Les Kertay, Chief Medical Officer of R3 and director of RCRI. “We want to take the next step and provide evidence that these initiatives do work.”
