New product development and increased industry recognition for its electronic health records (EHR) and clearinghouse services led to a record-setting year in 2013 for Office Ally, company President and CEO Brian O'Neill announced today.

Office Ally is the only organization in the country offering healthcare providers a full suite of revenue-cycle management services. This comprehensive and integrated approach, coupled with the organization's long track record of service and customer support, helped contribute to the company adding 40,000 provider clients - or nearly 3,400 per month to a total client population of 330,000 providers - in 2013.

More than 11,000 of these physicians are now utilizing Office Ally's EHR 24/7 product, which in 2013 was tested and certified for Stage II Meaningful Use under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) program. This exceptional Stage II certification means that healthcare providers using Office Ally's EHR systems qualify to receive federal stimulus monies - a key component of the federal government's push to improve clinical-care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs.

As one of the nation's leaders in EHR services, Office Ally in 2013 continued to work with regional extension centers around the country and now serves as a preferred EHR vendor for 23 such centers. These centers are increasingly looking to Office Ally to provide a simple and affordable way for providers in those markets to convert to electronic health records and receive incentive payments.

The year just concluded also saw Office Ally once again be recognized by KLAS (one of the best-known and most widely respected healthcare research firms) as one of the top clearinghouses in the nation. For the second year in a row, Office Ally received a perfect 100 percent score in "promise keeping"; and 100 percent of its clients said that they would buy from Office Ally again. Overall Office Ally was the highest of all firms surveyed in eight critical categories including overall client satisfaction, top value, and workflow tools and capabilities. Specifically the KLAS report singled out Office Ally as the top-rated vendor for workflow tools and capabilities; and Office Ally was also rated the highest among the 14 companies surveyed for online claims editing, allowable attachments, secondary insurance processing, contracting experience, real problem resolution and overall satisfaction.

In keeping with its history of new product development responding to client needs, in 2013 Office Ally introduced a new "conversion tool" that helps healthcare providers comply with new government regulations regarding how they document - or "code" - care delivered to patients. Coding has been used in the United States for more than 100 years with codes or "alphanumeric designations" given to every diagnosis, description of symptoms, and cause of death. Currently most of the codes in the United States are ICD-9 codes; but the government has mandated that by October 1, 2014, all providers transition to ICD-10. The new and easy-to-use Diagnosis Lookup tool from Office Ally, designed to help providers ease the transition, is available free of charge to any current or future Office Ally client.

"In 2014 we will continue to innovate and respond to marketplace needs as automation becomes an even more essential tool for providers," said O'Neill. "By capitalizing on what technology has to offer, providers can increase their efficiencies, build their practices and better serve their patients."
