Regional language translation company BetterLanguages.com Ltd has announced its sponsorship of East Midlands' international trade body, emita.

Betterlanguages joins current emita sponsors, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and Nelsons Solicitors.

Their sponsorship will support a wide range of opportunities designed to provide exporters with the chance to learn, share and network with other exporting organisations.

Mike Hunter, CEO of betterlanguages.com, said: "As a long standing emita member and active exporter ourselves, we saw first-hand the value of the programme of events emita offers.  Emita is an important and highly regarded trade association and we're delighted to be linked to them through this agreement. We hope that this will not only boost the take up of emita's events, but will also help us to contribute to driving export growth across the region.

"We have experienced a marked increase in enquiries and sales from SME's requiring translation into lots of languages. It is a clear sign of the upturn in the economy, and I'm pleased that emita is supporting this demand."

She said: "The support provided by Betterlanguages demonstrates a strong belief in the value of international trade to businesses in the region.
