By Making aware the provincial district and divisional political leaders and public officials regarding the Island wide development programs of Ministry of Economic Development for year 2014, was commenced on last week at the auditorium of Hector Kobbekaduwa Agrarian Research and Training Institute, Colombo 07, presides over Basil Rajapakse, Minister of Economic Development.
Aim of this programme is to provide contribution required to compilation and implementation of policies, strategies and projects for the creation of an empowered community, strong village comprising with all the facilities, a province rising with the equilibrium powered by diversity and a sustainable national economy, through this programme which implemented by applying the vision of "Building a new Sri Lanka in the form of a country of middle income level through Mahinda Chinthana ".
Under this, drawing more attention on government development programmes including Divi Neguma, Agri culture, Live stock, Fisheries, Industries and Gama Neguma, it is expected to uplift the living standard of the people by implementing the development activities in those areas.
At this occasion, making aware of public representatives and public officials of each electoral seat was made by Minister Basil Rajapakse regarding the details of estimated amount of money allocated by Ministry of Economic Development of electoral seats in Galle and Rathnapura Districts.
Senior Minister, Piyasena Gamage, Ministers of John Senaviratne, Gunarathne Weerakon, Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Ministers and MPS including Deputy Mainister Nisantha Muthuhettigama, public representatives and public officials in provincial councils and Local Authorities participated in this occasion.
