MeriTalk (www.MeriTalk.com), a public-private partnership focused on improving the outcomes of government IT, today announced the launch of its FITARA Dashboard (https://FITARA.MeriTalk.com).

The dashboard provides a graphical summary of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform (OGR)’s IT scorecard based on the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA). The interactive platform, underwritten by Dell EMC, breaks down agencies’ Scorecard 7.0 grades released in December 2018 and allows viewers to compare against past reports and other agencies to easily track progress.

The FITARA scorecard grades Federal CIOs on IT modernization efforts. The dashboard makes the complex report easier to understand, compare, and analyze so agencies can gain more insight from the past and map a strategy for the future. Federal IT leaders can analyze what’s working and what’s not, maximize agency-wide cooperation, and catalyze progress.

The site also provides a breakdown of OGR’s scoring methodologies for each of the seven main categories: Agency CIO Authority Enhancements, Enhanced Transparency and Improved Risk Management, Portfolio Review, Federal Data Center Optimization Initiative, Software Licensing, Modernizing Government Technology Act, and Cyber. The explanation of methodologies provides CIOs with a transparent view of the scoring process.

MeriTalk will also host the FITARA Awards & Forum on February 6, 2019 in partnership with Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-Va), the co-author of the FITARA legislation. The second semi-annual awards ceremony will recognize the agencies ranking at the top of the class on the most recent scorecard.

Designed not only to celebrate top marks, but also to showcase the best practices and stories behind the grades, the Forum will provide additional insight into how winning agencies overcame obstacles to break ground.
