Mercantil Commercebank, the fourth largest commercial bank headquartered in Florida and among the top 2% of banks nationally ranked by asset size, has launched the next stage of its branding evolution by changing its name to Mercantil Bank. This evolution began ten years ago when it added Mercantil and the Impulse symbol to its brand.

In the coming months, the Bank will incorporate its new identity throughout its 21 banking centers in Florida and Texas, its loan production office in New York City, and its electronic channels. Additionally, the names of the Bank’s trust and investment subsidiaries have evolved to Mercantil Trust Company and Mercantil Investment Services.

“As we move into our 37th year, our long-term plan all along has been to continue unifying under the Mercantil brand. Our name change more closely unifies us with Mercantil Servicios Financieros (MSF), our highly-respected 92 year-old parent company,” said Millar Wilson, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Mercantil Bank.

“While Mercantil Bank’s global scope continues to expand, the Bank’s business strategy continues to be focused on growing in South Florida, Texas, and New York, providing banking, investment and trust services to individuals and companies. At the same time, we will continue our long-standing commitment to support the arts & culture, education, health & social services and economic development in our local communities,” added Wilson.
