NEW YORK, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Major central banks did not seek notable amounts of dollar liquidity from the Federal Reserve in the latest week despite highly unsettled financial markets.

On Thursday, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York said the European Central Bank, via the Fed's central bank liquidity swaps facility, sought $274.8 million in an operation that matures on Oct. 6.

The Bank of England sought $5 million for the same maturity date, while the Swiss National Bank sought $20 million, also for Oct. 6. All three will pay an interest rate of 3.34%. (Reporting by Michael S. Derby Editing by Chris Reese)
