This marks an additional vertical in Laidlaw's research department, broadening Laidlaw's coverage universe.

Mr. Winton began his career in technology research in San Francisco with E*OFFERING, providing institutional research coverage on some of the early pioneers in the Internet sector including; About.com, CNET, Yahoo!, AOL and Lycos. Additionally Mr. Winton was a senior analyst with both The Seidler Companies, as well as Roth Capital Partners, where he covered "New Economy Survivors" post the fallout of the Internet sector in 2000. In 2003, Mr. Winton was a founding member of Sterne Agee's institutional research team, focusing on specialty growth situations within the broad technology sector. While at Sterne Agee, Mr. Winton was featured in Institutional Investor magazine as a "Homerun Hitter."
