CHICAGO, Jan. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Educational & Institutional Insurance Administrators, Inc. (EIIA), announced that Jeffery M. Wolf, formerly Vice President of Fiscal Affairs and Administration at the University of Evansville, has been appointed its new president and CEO effective January 1, 2017.

With a history of service that dates back more than 50 years, EIIA was originally formed to serve a small group of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). In the 1960s, racial turmoil and civil unrest put these institutions at serious risk, with few companies willing to sell them insurance. EIIA filled the gap and met their needs.

Today, the organization serves more than 130 private liberal arts colleges and universities across the U.S. As a member-owned non-profit, it offers innovative insurance and risk management programs, many of which have been shaped by its member institutions.

Wolf has served on the EIIA board since 2008. He joins the organization as its 4(th) president, succeeding Siri Gadbois, who is retiring after 14 years as EIIA chief executive.

"We are thrilled to have Jeff as our new president," said Board Chair Daniel DiBiasio, president of Ohio Northern University. "While his professional accomplishments speak for themselves, including his distinguished tenure at Evansville, we also know him as a valuable member of the EIIA board. This all assures a smooth transition in the leadership of this crucial organization."

Wolf has been the VP of Fiscal Affairs and Administration at the University of Evansville since 2003. He leaves a track record of noteworthy contributions, including the development of a model risk management function, oversight of major construction projects, and deep involvement in strategic planning. All of these prepare him well to serve his colleagues at the helm of EIIA.

"I am honored to have been selected to lead this organization," said Wolf. "The integrity and expertise of EIIA have made it a critical partner to higher education across the country. Coming from a university that has been a member for nearly twenty years, I have witnessed firsthand the value it brings. Substantial insurance protection at competitive pricing is the foundation, but EIIA delivers a spectrum of other services that support and undergird these small colleges and universities."

As a not-for-profit organization, EIIA offers a sophisticated range of insurance and risk management services, and acts as an advocate for its member institutions in the insurance marketplace.
