Japan's NTT plans to appoint vice president Akira Shimada to be new president - Nikkei

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp (NTT) plans to appoint Vice President Akira Shimada to be its new president, while current President Jun Sawada will be appointed chairman, the Nikkei newspaper said on Tuesday.

The change will be formally approved in June, the Nikkei added.
