OPERATION RED SEA TO BE RELEASED IN IMAX® THEATRES ACROSS CHINA

DURING CHINESE NEW YEAR ON FEB. 16

Beijing- January 10, 2017- IMAX China Holding, Inc. (HKSE:1970) today announced that Operation Red Sea will be digitally remastered into the IMAX® 3D format and released in IMAX® theatres across China on Feb. 16, the first day of Chinese New Year. The film is produced and distributed by Beijing Bona Film Group.

Directed by Dante Lam, Operation Red Sea stars Yi Zhang, Jiang Du, Johnny Huang, Christina Hai, Luxia Jiang, Fang Yin, Yutian Wang, Jiahao Guo, and Henry Prince Mak. The film features the modernized navy force of China, and tells the story of a commando force of the Chinese Navy stopping terrorists' intercept and exiting Chinese citizens from Yemen against various dangerous situations.

The IMAX 3D release of Operation Red Sea will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX's customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.
