NOTICE TO THE MARKET

Rio de Janeiro, January 7, 2019 - IRB-Brasil Resseguros SA (B3: IRBR3) ("IRB Brasil RE" or

"Company") hereby informs the market and its shareholders that its Board of Directors, on January 3rd, 2019, appointed Mr. Pedro Duarte Guimarães as a full member of the

Board of Directors until the next General Shareholders' Meeting to replace and complement Mr. Flavio Eduardo Arakaki's term of office. In accordance with IRB-Brasil

Resseguros S.A. Shareholders' Agreement, Mr. Pedro Guimarães's was appointed by the shareholder Fundo de Investimentos em Participações Caixa Barcelona.

Pedro Guimarães holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Rochester, a Master's in Economics from FGV/RJ and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the Catholic

University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC/RJ). Pedro Guimarães has more than 20 years of experience in the financial market. He coordinated several capital market operations, such as initial public offerings (IPOs), mergers and acquisitions (M&A's), among others, as well as advice on corporate restructurings. He was a member of the Board of Directors of

Terra Brasis Resseguros and Eólicas do Sul. Mr. Pedro Duarte Guimarães was appointed

President of Caixa Econômica Federal in January 2019.
