In his first day in office, President Joe Biden issued a large number of Executive Orders, which follows a $1.9 trillion spending and recovery package proposal he outlined in a speech prior to inauguration. Some of the measures in the package directly impact small businesses, and some in not so helpful ways, according to SBE Council president & CEO Karen Kerrigan. In this Inc.com interview she notes:

'These new costs, regulations and restrictions could undermine a recovery. Dramatically increasing the minimum wage and imposing other costs would disproportionately burden small businesses.'
