Earnings season. JD.com, Agilent, Intuit, and Urban Outfitters are among companies reporting earnings.

New controversy for Facebook. The social network giant faces a new scandal. It has allegedly hired the services of a specialized firm to discredit its detractors. The New York Times has published an article detailing the methods Facebook and a public relations firm used to "deny and deflect" criticism.

Drug prices. Pfizer is reportedly planning to raise the prices of about 40 of its drugs in the United States in January, which should not please the White House, which has scolded other laboratories for less than that.

Meanwhile in Canada. Bombardier plunged 20% on Friday after opening an insider trading investigation against its executives. The Canadian AMF is investigating whether the recently introduced automatic securities transfer regime was implemented with knowledge of the restructuring measures announced since then. 

Nissan in trouble. Nissan said it had been conducting an internal investigation for several months which showed its chairman Mr Ghosn had been under-reporting his pay package. As well as being chairman of Nissan, Mr Ghosn is also chairman and chief executive of Renault and chairman of Mitsubishi Motors.

The Eurofighter Rafale. Airbus and Dassault Aviation will join forces to offer a new combat jet in Paris and Berlin in early 2019, without having been solicited, Reuters learned. Corridor noises had already circulated about a collaboration between the two rivals.

Technicolor for sale? This is not the first time that a sale has been mentioned for the company, which operates in a complicated context. Some funds could be in the ranks. Reuters mentioned the rumor in the evening on Friday, but the Technicolor stock seemed to have already reacted in the session. The group indicated that it regularly evaluates its options and that contacts are only at an early stage.

Arkema more solid. S&P upgraded Arkema's credit rating to "BBB+" with a stable outlook. The agency salutes the chemist's management.

In-orbit contract. Airbus and Eutelsat agreed on the production of future satellites, with several components being manufactured in the United Kingdom. The final assembly will be carried out in Toulouse, France.

Order confirmed. Delta Air Lines confirmed an order for 10 A330neo aircraft.

Tesaro for sale? American biotech is for sale, according to Bloomberg. Tesaro, an oncology specialist, recently experienced a setback, reducing its capitalization to less than $2 billion.

Commedia dell'arte. Luigi Gubitosi has been appointed to lead Telecom Italia in place of Amos Genish, who wants to organise an extraordinary general meeting to fight the strategy that is being put in place.
