The collaboration combines HP's award-winning Jet Fusion 3D Printing solutions with CEA's extensive experience in creating solutions to solve manufacturing challenges, particularly in materials and advanced processes. In addition to developing production applications and use-cases for tomorrow, CEA will be working to drive cost savings and efficiency throughout the lifecycle of the part, including in postprocessing. Longer term, the organisation plans to extend its use of HP Jet Fusion 3D printers into materials development, taking advantage of HP's unique open platform for materials development.
'When looking for a 3D thermoplastic leader to partner with, we were attracted to HP's disruptive approach to the market, influencing the way people design and manufacture goods,' said Florence Lambert, director, CEA-Liten. 'With CEA's mission to improve the competitiveness of companies through product performance and differentiation, and with HP's commitment to make the digital transformation of manufacturing a reality, together we are working to prepare companies of all sizes around the world for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.'
