Speaking in a farm with his speaking notes on a bale of hay, Attal also said "we will put agriculture above everything else".
French farmers have blocked one of the main motorways linking Paris with the northern city of Lille and Belgium on Friday and were getting ready to block other highways to Paris to increase pressure on Attal's government, which the farmers accuse of not doing enough to help them.
