This action has two specific objectives:

  1. Fulfil the mandate of the Civilian Protection Component (CPC) of the International Monitoring Team (IMT).
  2. Consolidate and strengthen local conflict prevention and response mechanisms including community-based Early Warning Early Response (EWER).
