A new show plans to bring Elvis Presley back to life with the help of virtual reality

'Elvis Evolution' will offer fans an immersive journey through the late singer's life and music

London

(Andrew McGuinness, CEO, Layered Reality)

"So the visitor will come to a central London location and then they will go on a journey through Elvis's life and that will be brought to life through theatre, so large intricate sets, actors, but then a lot of technology. So, augmented reality, projection mapping, binaural sound and then the experience itself ends with an incredible AI-generated performance by Elvis. You'll see Elvis perform in front of you, for the very first time in London actually, and you'll see this unique performance generated by AI, so it's really going to be something special and its overall a joyous celebration of his life and music."

The show is a collaboration between Layered Reality, an immersive entertainment company

and Authentic Brands Group, owner of the Elvis Presley estate

"It's given us incredible access to thousands and thousands of photos, lots of intimate information about Elvis and his life and how he lived, but also hours of home video which has really helped us understand the man behind the icon."

The experience is set to open in London in November

with plans for it to go to Las Vegas, Tokyo, Berlin and beyond
