Specialists of a separate electronic warfare unit (EW) of the Central Military District (CMD) worked out the application of a complex electronic strike on the enemy's control and communication systems during the exercise, which ended today at the training ground in the Sverdlovsk region.

According to the plan of the exercise, the crews of the 'Borisoglebsk-2' and 'Murmansk' complexes discovered and classified the radio-electronic objects of the mock enemy. The operators of the electronic warfare systems located the coordinates of the radiation sources, determining the method of exposure to their receiving devices by radio-electronic interference. Having received objective data on the location of the training targets, the EW specialists of CMD suppressed radio relay and satellite communication channels, as well as radio frequencies of tactical aviation and sabotage groups by applying selective, point electronic strikes at the coordinates of the radiation source. Electronic strikes were carried out on both single and group targets.

In total, more than 500 military personnel were involved in the exercise, including from the signals, security and counter-terrorism units, as well as more than 50 units of military special equipment.
