Dear media representatives,

Europe's dairy farmers are still in the thick of the crisis. Despite slight price increases, there is still a chronic gap between revenue from milk and the costs of production. Certainly the voluntary supply restraint stimulated throughout Europe by the EU Commission has put a temporary brake on the price collapse. But what must now be done to stabilise the sector in the long term? What role should policy-makers play, and how must milk producers take responsibility? The Executive Committee of the European Milk Board will state its position on these questions at Green Week in Berlin.

You are invited to the press conference on Thursday, 19 January 2017,

at 14:00 hours at the trade fair site

Venue: hall 6.3 - Press Centre - room A - Messedamm 22 - D-14055 Berlin

We look forward to seeing you there.
