WASHINGTON, Jan. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) today announced that registration is open for the 2015 Electric Drive Congress, set for February 10 and 11 in Washington, DC. The event will assemble electric drive industry executives, policymakers and other stakeholders to discuss the outlook for the market and what role policymakers can play in accelerating the electric fleet.
The program will kick off with an open briefing in the U.S. Capitol Visitors Center, with policymakers and industry leaders providing their expert insights on what is ahead for electric drive in the consumer market and policy arenas. A moderated Q&A will follow.
The afternoon Industry & Policy Seminar program, held at the Washington Court Hotel for registrants, will begin with keynote remarks from government leaders, followed by lively discussion with auto, electricity, and infrastructure industry representatives exploring the latest trends in electric drive technology and federal policy. During the second half of the program, experts will discuss key state initiatives and chart the successes of electric drive deployment efforts across the U.S. The final day of the event will feature a Capitol Hill Lobbying Day for the members of the EDTA Board of Directors, who will be meeting directly with members of the House, Senate and Congressional staff to share the electric drive industry's policy priorities at the start of the new legislative session.
