Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. today announced a donation of $15,000 to the Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills to assist in building the curriculum of the STEM club, which will focus on positioning students to be competition-ready for events and competitions both nationally and internationally, as well as further their knowledge of robotics and help encourage pursuit of careers in the STEM fields. The money was raised through the company's EdAhead® initiative, which harnesses the collective power of employers and employees to invest in the future of public education. To date, D&B Credibility has now donated over $245,000 to schools across the country in districts where the company has offices.

The EdAhead initiative matches employee contributions to their 529 college education plans up to a set amount. The company then makes a donation in that total amount to education programs at school districts in communities where the company has offices.

As part of its $15,000 EdAhead commitment, Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. agreed to match dollar for dollar for all donations to the Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills during the foundation's first Fall Festival Fundraiser held in 2013. The $15,000 was ultimately fully matched by the community, doubling the company's pledge to the foundation.

"We launched EdAhead last year with the belief that the most pressing issue in this country is education," said Jeff Stibel, Chairman and CEO of Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. "We are honored to make our EdAhead donation to the Short Hills New Jersey school system, especially since it will help drive education in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math."

Superintendent of Schools, Dr. James A. Crisfield said, "We are incredibly appreciative of this donation from the EdAhead initiative. We have some exciting things going on in our district in terms of hands-on science offerings, and all it takes is to see how fired up students get about an activity like robotics to know that we're on the right track. We are grateful to the Education Foundation for helping us secure this grant to aid in their on-going efforts to help us maintain a cutting edge in our science and technology curricula."

The EdAhead funds will be used to support an eighth-grade intermediate robotics course through an after school Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) club. Lester Greenberg, Robotics teacher in Short Hills New Jersey, said, "On behalf of my students, we wish to thank Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. for their generous contribution that will allow us to explore the endless possibilities of this new technology. Bring on the competition!"

A check presentation ceremony will take place January 8th, 2014 at 10:45AM ET at the Millburn Middle School, located at 25 Old Short Hills Road, Millburn, New Jersey.

Other school districts receiving EdAhead donations this year based on the location of Dun & Bradstreet Credibility offices include: Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (CA); Bethlehem Area School District (PA); Guilford County Schools (NC); and Tucson Unified School District (AZ).
