WIESBADEN- Agreed monthly earnings in Germany are expected to have risen by 2.3% in 2013 on a year earlier. Based on results available so far, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the increase in agreed earnings thus was slightly smaller on average than in 2012 (+2.7%). Items covered were the agreed basic remuneration and agreed extra payments such as one-off payments, annual extra payments or agreed back payments. Consumer prices rose by an average 1.5% in 2013.

The final results for 2013 will be released on 28 February 2014.
