Murray Dairy today announced that Amy Fay has been appointed to manage Accelerating Change, a $1.45 million project funded by the Victorian State Government. This is a major new extension program to be implemented across the Murray region.

"I am really excited with the new role as it's a great opportunity to use my skills and experience to make a positive difference on dairy farms throughout the Murray Dairy region," Ms Fay said.

Since 2012, Ms Fay has worked for Dairy Australia as a Program Development Manager in the Farm Productivity and Delivery team overseeing a wide range of investments to improve natural resource management and profitability on dairy farms including Smarter Energy Use on Australian Dairy Farms, a $1.7 million initiative in partnership with the Department of Industry.

During her time at Dairy Australia, Ms. Fay also made a substantial contribution to a technical review of DairySAT and in a previous position she was a Policy Officer working on sustainable agriculture policy in the Department of Agriculture Fisheries & Forestry.

"Amy is an excellent appointment as she has a strong interest in leadership and the promotion of agriculture, and the Accelerating Change project is about implementing on-farm the best that recent dairy research and innovation has to offer," said Leanne Mulcahy Chief Executive Officer of Murray Dairy.

"Amy's passion for dairy has been recognised recently by her election as Chair of the Young Agribusiness Professionals (YAP) and being named in the top 100 Women in Australian Agribusiness," said Ms Mulcahy.

Amy Fay will be relocating from Melbourne to Echuca and officially start with Murray Dairy on the 3rd of February.
