DASAN Zhone : Andhra Pradesh State Fibernet Limited Deploys DASAN Zhone Solutions ONT Technology to Deliver Triple-Play Services to a Half Million Subscribers

Oakland, Calif. - January 25, 2018 - DASAN Zhone Solutions (NASDAQ: DZSI) announced that Andhra Pradesh State Fibernet Limited (APSFL) has deployed H662GS Optical Network Terminals (ONT) from DASAN Zhone Solutions (DZS) to deliver Fiber to the Home (FTTH) services to hundreds of thousands of subscribers.

'With a population of 60 million people in our state alone, there is major demand for high-speed, on-demand Internet connectivity. DZS solutions help us deliver connectivity to homes, businesses and government entities across the state. With these new technologies from DZS, Andhra Pradesh can continue to expand its FTTH network as the population grows,' said Hari Krishna, Commercial Executive Director, APSFL.

In 2016, the government of Andhra Pradesh announced a plan to provide triple-play services to at least 10 million subscribers by 2018. Since then, APSFL continues to expand its network capabilities so that all households in Andhra Pradesh eventually have access to triple-play services. DZS equipment is helping APSFL expand its infrastructure across all 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. The H662GS ONT solutions from DZS deliver voice, video and data services to individual homes and businesses across the state. The value of the most recent order from APSFL is approximately $29 million.
