Navy Federal Credit Union hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of its newest facility in Winchester today. Distinguished guests, including Governor Terry McAuliffe, praised the credit union’s commitment to bringing 1,400 jobs to the area with the three-level, 180,000-square-foot building.

Currently, the credit union employs roughly 1,400 across two facilities in Frederick County. The new building will nearly double Navy Federal’s workforce in the area. Scheduled to be fully operational by the end of 2018, the expansion is a result of a $100 million investment by the credit union.
