Collier County FL : Road Alert Update - Jan. 12, 2018

ROAD ALERT UPDATE

This ROAD ALERT UPDATE was prepared by the Collier County Growth Management Department to inform the community about scheduled road construction and road maintenance projects along major roadways in Collier County where lane closures are planned or traffic flow may be affected.

COLLIER COUNTY CONSTRUCTION/MAINTENANCE PROJECTS:

Adams Avenue from Glades Street to Immokalee Drive (in Immokalee) - Expect the following intersections with Adams Avenue in Immokalee to have intermittent lane closures, allowing local traffic only, beginning on Monday, Jan. 15 and continuing for approximately two weeks from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, as crews install new water lines as part of the Immokalee Water Line Replacement Project: Glades Street, Flagler Street, Escambia Street, Dade Street and Immokalee Drive. Detour routes will be posted. Advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.

Golden Gate Boulevard from 2nd Street NE to Weber Boulevard - On Golden Gate Boulevard from 2nd Street NE to Weber Boulevard expect eastbound and westbound travel lanes to be reduced from two lanes in each direction to one lane in each direction beginning on Sunday, Jan. 14 and continuing for approximately two months OVERNIGHT from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting, as crews mill and pave the roadway. Flagmen, advance warning signs, electronic message boards and barricades will be used to assist traveler sin this area.
