In another step toward making Nashville one of the greenest cities in the Southeast, Metro Public Works has added it's first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicle to our service fleet. CNG vehicles are efficient, clean, and reliable and save money on fuel costs. The cleaner natural gas powered vehicles use a domestically available and abundant source for fuel, and decrease smog-forming and other emissions.

This past summer, Piedmont Natural Gas opened its second Nashville CNG fueling station and now operate stations on Spence Lane and Century Blvd. Visit: http://www.piedmontng.com/yourbusiness/vehiclesandfueling/nashville-station.aspx for map of locations as well as information regarding payment accepted and hours of operation.

The new CNG roll-off truck will be used for recycling and convenience center collections.
