The WestHolland Foreign Investment Agency (WFIA) helped a record number of 44 foreign companies last year to establish new offices or relocate within the region. These companies accounted for a total of 350 new jobs. In addition to new job creation, WFIA also contributed to the retention of hundreds of jobs in the Hague region in 2015.

Most of the foreign companies which set up business in The Hague last year are active within IT & Telecom, a sector in which the city offers many opportunities. Although companies are fuelling the growth of this sector by actively cooperating through sharing knowledge and networks, it is access to talent as well as state-of-the-art infrastructure and connectivity which makes The Hague an obvious location for IT businesses. Examples of ambitious foreign companies that set up in The Hague last year include start-up company Lanetix from the US, a developer of applications for logistics companies, and Dialoga Group from Spain, a supplier of cloud-based telecom services.
