Stapleton Residents Please Read and take action on proposed fracking on Stapleton land north of 56th Ave adjacent to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal.

Please read this and send in information opposing fracking in our community. Do it today so opposition is available for tomorrow's 8 a.m. public hearing! Catie Stitt at the Colorado State Land Board indicated she preferred that folks email comments so she can print and bring with her to the public hearing.

Here are the important actions steps:

1) Email [e-mail] and [e-mail] BY EOB WEDNESDAY - simply saying you do NOT want oil and gas leases for your neighborhood.

2) If you do not have email, please call Catie Stitt and Barb Fiedler at the Colorado State Land Board - 303-866-3454, option 2. Simply explain that you do NOT want your area to be leased for oil and gas.

3) Please call and email your state representatives immediately, and attend tomorrow's hearing if you're able: 1127 Sherman Street, Denver, CO 80203 at 8:00AM.

Catie said that, if a lot of people email and call, the tract will be less and less appealing for auction. You do not need a long letter or a persuasive argument. My sense is that, if enough of us make our voices heard in this simple way, the issue will die pretty quickly. Catie said they have received a fair number of calls already today.
