Wireless Matrix Corporation (TSX:WRX) announced today that it has been awarded a contract with a large mid-western city to provide GPS fleet tracking for vehicles in the city's Department of Public Utilities.

Under the agreement, the city is implementing the FleetOutlook® Silver service for GPS tracking, and deploying Wireless Matrix devices on city vehicles, providing integrated GPS and wireless data communications for the solution.

The selection of FleetOutlook comes at the conclusion of a competitive procurement process by the city that began with a solicitation for proposals in November 2009.

?This agreement is the result of a long and thorough vetting process, in which the customer took over a year to evaluate our FleetOutlook offering versus many of our competitors,? said J. Richard Carlson, president and CEO of Wireless Matrix. ?The selection of the FleetOutlook suite by this customer is a fantastic accomplishment in an important and highly competitive vertical market – one that requires strong, reliable GPS service to succeed.?
