BCJ announces the addition of Michael Silbaugh, to join the team as Chief Development Officer, bringing 30 years of experience in the financial services industry to the group.

“Moving from TD Ameritrade to BCJ Financial Group allows me to stay connected with advisors, through the entire transition and beyond. I’m very excited to have the chance to really get to know them, their teams, and their business goals.” Michael’s move is fitting since the BCJ model is entirely focused on providing comprehensive, independent support for advisors and their businesses.

Justin Young, CEO of BCJ Financial, has been expanding BCJ’s offering at an astounding speed. With this growth, Justin found the need to bring in a partner with extensive experience in relationship development. “I know that Michael’s experience, combined with our business model, will help advisors streamline what they already have,” Justin explains. “This partnership will allow us to really focus in on our advisors’ businesses individually, providing a more customized approach to what RIAs traditionally provide.”

Michael held numerous positions in his 19 years at Merrill Lynch. Michael has vast experience working with Financial Advisors to grow their businesses and improve overall effectiveness and productivity. He started his career working with Merrill Lynch Specialist Corporation at the New York Stock Exchange. He held a succession of management, sales and service roles in the domestic and international private-client and institutional businesses.

For the past 16 years, Michael has focused on the RIA space. After 8 years with TD Ameritrade Institutional as an Institutional Sales Vice President, Michael will transition to BCJ Financial to focus on growing the firm’s business development strategy and growth of long-term relationships with the firm’s advisors.

For the past six years, BCJ has concentrated its efforts on developing efficiencies and processes to support advisors, expanding their turn-key technology and investment platforms, as well as compliance and business development solutions. “Bringing Michael into the firm will help our advisors grow in a 360-degree approach, with a long-term outlook. As an entire network of advisors, a team, we can only go up from here,” Justin expresses.
