Despite the cold weather, the commodity markets were warm.

Atypical for this time of year, the demand for paper grades has stayed strong. Generally, when we are coming out of the holiday season (high consumption months), generation of recovered materials exceeds demand; putting downward pressure on pricing. This year, we have not seen that drop. This month we saw continued improvements in the paper grades and metals. Plastic grades were stable overall. The paper grade improvements were enough to raise the value of comingle materials for January.

Good way to start the year.
