ProComm, an Associa company, is pleased to announce it took home several individual and community awards at the 2013 Community Associations Institute (CAI) San Antonio Chapter Awards Gala.

Vice President Sandra Vela-Mora, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, was presented with an award in recognition for her leadership of the San Antonio chapter and in appreciation of her serving as the 2013 chapter president.

Vela-Mora is the first ProComm staffer to be appointed to this local board and has been serving as president since 2012. She is a previous winner of the President's Award by CAI San Antonio for her efforts assisting the previous president during his time at the helm.

"Sandra is greatly deserving of this honor," said Rody Timmons, CEO of ProComm. "She consistently works with other CAI leaders and staff to identify and develop new and better ways to serve and support not only the CAI members, but community associations across the region."

Vela-Mora's professional experience includes 15 years in the real estate industry, including commercial and residential property management. She has specialized in community association management for more than 11 years.

Additionally, Stone Mountain Association board treasurer Art Downey was presented the Chapter Award, while board members Mary Ann Brown, Crystal Gant, Martha Hendler and Diane Munoz were presented with Awards of Distinction.

This Chapter Honor is presented by the CAI board to the member who has made a significant contribution to the CAI San Antonio Chapter. The Awards of Distinction are presented to board members who have done extraordinary work in the community association management industry locally.

Community Association awards were handed out to 16 associations in four categories (small, medium, large, extra large) and ProComm took home three of these prestigious awards. Mesa Vista was recognized with an Award of Distinction (2nd place) in the small association category (25-100 homes), while Cordillera Ranch and Riverstone at Alamo Ranch were recognized with Awards of Merit (3rd place) in the extra large category (600+ homes).

"We are thrilled for these board members and communities that were honored by CAI," said Timmons. "Their hard work allows us to continue to deliver unsurpassed management and lifestyle services to our local communities."
