International stocks trading in New York closed mostly higher on Monday.

The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts gained 0.6% to 157.95. The European index ticked up 0.2% to 145.79. The Asian index rose 1.4% to 198.63. The Latin American index edged down 0.1% to 192.53, while the emerging-markets index bumped up 1.3% to 330.15.

VNET Group Inc. was among those whose ADRs traded actively.

The internet data-center services provider was up nearly 17%, extending its gain from last Friday that came after the company said funds managed by Blackstone Tactical Opportunities agreed to make an investment of $250 million with the purchase of convertible notes.

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. was up 9.2% despite its price target being cut to $180 per share from $215 per share from Mizuho on Monday.
