ABI Research announces that Pete Rumpel has joined the company in the position of Chief Sales Officer. Pete has been brought on to the 25-year old research firm to build a best-in-class global sales organization.

Pete has had a 25 year career in technology sales. He began his career in field sales for Pitney Bowes and over the last decade has held Global VP, Senior VP and VP positions with SAP, SciQuest, Rafter, and Rosetta Stone. At Rafter Pete lead growth of the Institutional course material platform business from US$4 million to US$16 million in 24 months. Pete helped lead Rosetta Stone through its transition from private to public company followed by hitting eight straight quarters of double-digit growth. Earlier in his career Pete held sales management positions in the market research and advisory field with The Yankee Group, iSuppli, The Corporate Executive Board and Gartner where he was instrumental in generating revenue growth.
