A Google Scholar h-index of more than 100 signifies Louviere has written over one hundred papers each with 100 or more citations. 100 Google Scholar citations is a standard benchmark for an individual paper or book being considered a success. Louviere is one of the world’s most productive marketing scholars and his current achievement this decade complements his earlier recognition from the American Marketing Association receiving the Charles Coolidge Parlin Award in 2010 for lifetime achievements in marketing research.

Jordan Louviere is a pioneer in Discrete Choice Experiments (DCEs, also called “choice-based conjoint”). DCEs are widely used globally by academics and practitioners in many disciplines to model choices of market-traded and non-market traded goods and services, estimate and predict uptake and willingness to pay for new products and technologies and proposed changes to products and services. He is a global leader in the systematic study and application of theory and methods to design DCEs.

Jordan developed the theory and methods for Best-Worst Scaling (BWS, also called “Max-Diff”) a choice-based measurement now is widely used in many fields to measure latent, subjective quantities. Jordan has published more than 250 academic papers, book chapters, books and working papers. His co-authored book, Stated Choice Methods (2000) with Hensher & Swait is widely regarded as a key work in discrete choice experiments.

Jordan founded or co-founded eight companies, including ChoiceFlows. He received his PhD in geography and transportation planning (Iowa, 1973), became a Fellow of the Australia-New Zealand Marketing Academy in 2007 and retired from the University of South Australia as a Research Professor in the School of Marketing in May, 2016.

All founders of ChoiceFlows are published authors. Dr. Richard Carson, Chief Scientist of ChoiceFlows, is closely following in Louviere’s footsteps with 33,000 Google Scholar citations. Carson is the most cited academic researcher in the world for his work on non-market valuation, which is heavily based on modeling a wide range of choice behavior to uncover value in terms of money or time that people implicitly place on aspects of goods and services that cannot be directly bought or sold when they make decisions. Kevin Clark, CEO of ChoiceFlows – and Richard Boyd, Executive Director of Technology and Innovation – are both authors with published books and numerous professional articles to their credit.

ChoiceFlows is in the business of “Testing the Future” and for products, service and experiences that don’t exist yet – and “Advancing Decisions” for c-suite clients around the world using advanced choice modeling methods and practices.
