RCM's global platform was established in 1997 through predecessor companies as Dresdner RCM Global Investors. In 2006, RCM became RCM Asia Pacific Ltd., concentrating on the investment management business and Allianz Global Investors (Hong Kong) concentrating on the mutual fund sales and distribution business. Allianz Global Investors Asia Pacific Ltd. (AllianzGI AP) is an asset management firm headquartered in Hong Kong. The firm was founded in 2015 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Allianz Global Investors GmbH, ultimately owned by Allianz SE (ETR: ALV, ADR: AZSEY) in Germany. AllianzGI AP provides specialist expertise in Asia Pacific asset management to both retail and institutional investors.
