Vassilis Karavas

Dr. Karavas received his Ph.D.
in Operations Research at the University of Massachusetts, his MS and Diploma in Industrial Engineering at the Technical University of Crete-Greece.
Along with his current role with Lyra, Dr. Karavas is also Senior Research Associate at the Center for International Securities and Derivatives Markets at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, which conducts research primarily in the area of alternative investments.
He is co-editor of two books on hedge funds and CTAs, and has published in various academic and professional journals in the areas of hedge fund performance, asset allocation, and quantitative methods.
