Having received a mathematics degree from York University Tom joined Guardian Royal Exchange investment department in 1971.
Starting as a trainee analyst in UK equities, Tom's career progressed to fund management in the late 1970's.
In 1987 he assumed overall responsibility for the investment management of the GRE Group's client funds, including segregated, pooled and personal pension funds, life linked and unit trusts managing over £5 billion.
Joined Ely Fund Managers Limited as a Director in January 2000 to jointly head up Ely's newly formed pension fund management arm.
