Bray is Chief Technology Officer & Founder at Antarctica Systems, Inc., Co-Founder at Open Text Corp., and a Principal at Bootup Labs VCC, Inc. Mr. Bray is a Canadian software developer and entrepreneur.
He managed the Oxford English Dictionary project at the University of Waterloo from 1987 to 1989.
He co-founded Open Text Corporation in 1989, launched one of the first public web search engines in 1995, co-invented XML 1.0 and co-edited "Namespaces in XML" between 1996 and 1999.
He also served as a Tim Berners-Lee appointee on the W3C Technical Architecture Group from 2002 to 2004, and co-chaired the IETF AtomPub Working Group between 2004 and 2007.
Currently, Mr. Bray serves as a Distinguished Engineer and Director of Web Technologies at Sun Microsystems and publishes a popular weblog, Ongoing.
