He was promoted to Senior Relationship Manager in Structured Finance in London, England and from 1997 to 2000 was in charge of corporate business in continental Europe outside Germany.
From July 2000 to June 2003 he was first Deputy Country Manager and then Country Manager for Deutsche Bank in Milan, Italy.
From there he became the Global Head of the Asset Finance & Leasing group at Deutsche Bank’s Corporate & Investment Bank until the beginning of 2011.
From 2011 to August 2014, he was the Global Head of Key Account Management & Sales Strategy and a member of the Executive Committee of the Global Client Group of Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management as well as a member of the DWS management team.
He gained his PhD in “Consulting Banking” with Professor Wolfram Engels at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt after studying business administration at the University of Mannheim.
Upon graduation he spent two years working for a management consulting company.
