Ms. Livingston began her career at Brown Brothers Harriman in 1985 working in the Banking Department and on the global custody business in Boston.
In 1992, Ms. Livingston moved to Luxembourg and became Managing Director of BBH (Luxembourg) S.C.A., where she helped build the business from $1 billion in assets to $72 billion today.
She returned to Boston in 1995 and was named as a Partner in January 1998.
In January 2000, Ms. Livingston was appointed Honorary Consul to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Additionally, she is a Director of Clearstream Banking, a Director of NICSA, a Director of the French Library of Boston, a Director of Friends of Clermont, and a Member of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute.
Ms. Livingston joined BBH from Manufacturers Hanover Trust where she worked in the International Division after completing the management training program.
Prior to that, Ms. Livingston worked for the U.
S.
Department of Commerce and the U.
S.
Trade Representative's office in Washington, D.
C.
and Geneva, Switzerland.
Ms. Livingston's degrees include a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, with a specialty in international law; she graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University.
She studied at the Karl Eberhand University in Tübingen, Germany, and the School of Advanced International Studies, Geneva, Switzerland.
A member of Phi Beta Kappa, she is fluent in French and German.
