Steve Sangalis is a founding partner of Progress Equity Partners.
He is a highly seasoned private equity professional with more than twenty years experience in sourcing, structuring, and managing private investments in lower middle market companies.
Mr. Sangalis has been an integral part in executing Progress Equity’s mission of partnering with entrepreneurs and management teams in their efforts to build industry leading companies.
Mr. Sangalis currently serves as a Director on the boards of Crestcom International (franchised leadership training services), Davey Coach (bus equipment dealership), InDemand Industrial Services (industrial construction), Creative Tent International (military & commercial modular structures), and Medical Indicators (disposable medical products).
Mr. Sangalis previously served on the boards and led the firm’s successful exited investments in Westcon Industries (industrial construction), Terracare Associates (commercial landscape services) and Diversified Machine Systems (industrial machine tools), among others.
Prior to forming Progress Equity in 2006, Mr. Sangalis was a founding partner of Rocky Mountain Capital Partners, a private equity and subordinated debt investment firm which managed over $200 million of institutional capital.
Mr. Sangalis joined Rocky Mountain’s predecessor firm, Hanifen Imhoff Capital Partners at inception in 1994 and was directly involved in the development of all facets of the firm’s investment operations.
Mr. Sangalis started his career as a Bank Examiner with the U.S.
Treasury Department.
Mr. Sangalis received an MBA with emphasis in finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a BSBA from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
